Not one lane.
My work has never sat inside one category. I started by being interested in how stories are made — through film, photography, people and places. That curiosity became a way of working across different creative and commercial worlds while keeping one consistent point of view.
I studied Film at the University of Roehampton, graduating in 2019. Around the same time, photography became more than something I used to document moments: it became a way to shape atmosphere, identity and emotion. Modelling then placed me on the other side of the lens, giving me a different understanding of image-making, fashion and how brands communicate visually.
Film & image
Film gave me the foundations of visual storytelling — pacing, composition, narrative and mood. Photography became the more immediate extension of that language: still images that can feel cinematic, personal and editorial at the same time.
Fashion & modelling
Working as a model introduced me to campaigns, editorial teams, stylists, photographers and the pace of the fashion industry. It also taught me how creative ideas translate into a finished image — from the perspective of both the person in front of the camera and the person shaping the frame.
Photography & people
My photography sits between fashion, portraiture, events and documentary observation. I am interested in people looking like themselves, but elevated — images with atmosphere, movement and enough space for personality to come through.
Business & property
Alongside creative work, I built a career in property and founded my own estate agency brand. That side of my life taught me about negotiation, presentation, client relationships and building something from the ground up. It remains part of my story, but the creative work is where this website brings everything together.
Now
Karanjee is the point where those experiences meet: fashion, photography, moving image, events and creative collaboration. I work with brands, agencies, people and projects that value a distinctive visual point of view and a personal way of working.
